AIR POLISHING PROCESS
Before starting the air polishing the teeth must first be free of plaque. Τhe plaque is removed by using ultrasound and hand tools.
During the air polishing process a spray containing air, water and soda, in various pleasant flavours, are projected onto the teeth.
The entire process is completed in 20-30 minutes, depending on each case, in some special circumstances a second session may be necessary.
The air polishing is followed by a fluoride treatment to enhance the teeth’s enamel.
For the best results we suggest that our patients avoid smoking and theuse of substances and foods that stain for at least 2-3 hours after the treatment.
